Learning Through Play
The curriculum and education activities at Hunnypot Corner Day Nursery are created with our children’s needs at the heart of what we do. Our curriculum is based around adult led and child initiated activities and we enjoy celebrating many different cultures and events throughout the year! We use the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) guidance to support our children's learning and help them to develop in a safe yet stimulating environment. We observe children on a regular basis and review their progress each term in an assessment that we share with parents. We have great links with the local community and often visit the local park, church and shops. Take a look below to learn more about what other activities we take part in at nursery.
Super Star Sport and Music classes
Serene Mind Yoga classes
We have a lovely outdoor space which the children love to spend time in. We use our garden everyday and have an outdoor book area, a climbing frame and lots of bikes and scooters. The children also have football classes on a Tuesday with our brilliant coach at Super Star Sports! On Monday mornings our younger children take part in a music and movement session too.

On Tuesday mornings our children take part in yoga and sound classes with Serene Mind to begin to look at stretching and relaxation which the children really love.

Lessons for our Pre School Children
Our Pre School children take part in Spanish lessons with speak the word language school every week. We feel this is so important and the children love to learn words in new and exciting languages, we see some amazing results and the children are now even starting to teach their parents too!
The children also take part in a phonics class called Robot Reg every Tuesday. This is all part of our school readiness program where we start to prepare the children for the next steps and primary school. Its a really fun class that the children always enjoy!

Jo Jingles/Baby Ballet
Jo Jingles is a music class that the children take part in on a Friday. Its lots of fun and the children love to sing and use instruments whilst building confidence and social skills.
At the beginning of the week we offer a Baby ballet music class for our babies.

Our Mission

By building on each child’s strengths, interests and curiosities, we guide each child to explore the world around them as well as develop new abilities and form close relationships with their peers.

We offer a very competitive rate of £80 per day which includes all food, nappies, wipes, snacks and formula milk and additional classes.
Once your child turns 3, the following term they will receive 15 hours government funding and we also offer the universal 30 hour funding entitlement to working parents. We also accept the working parents 30 hour working parents funding from 9 months old, for those parents who are eligible, to find out about funding options that may be available to you please visit
