Fee and Funding policy:
At Hunnypot Corner day nursery we offer access to all of the working family funding entitlements. Parents can claim the funding for 38 weeks per year these dates are issued to parents when they join the nursery and do not always completely align with the school holiday weeks as schools often close for more than 38 weeks per year. We do not offer the stretched funding model when hours can be split across the whole year. All school holidays are charged at full price.
Funding can be accessed in 10 hour blocks, so 30 hours used over three days for example would mean that there would only be an additional 1 hour a day to pay for as the nursery opens from 7am and is open for 11 hours per day. If your funding is not all used during the week and you do not want to purchase additional hours the extra hours will be banked for you and used towards your non funded weeks meaning that these weeks would still be charged at the funded rate.
If you need more than 30 hours per week these hours will be charged at our currently hourly rate of £7.27 which is £80 per day.
If using 15 hours it can be used in one full day of 10 hours and an 8am - 1pm morning session with the remainder of that day being charged for at our normal rate if needed.
We do not charge any extra consumable fees for our service and ensure that all children no matter how many hours they claim receive the same level of care. Our fees include three meals per day including a hot meal at lunch time and 3 snacks per day, all nappies and wipes, formula milk until a baby turns 1 years old and all of our extra curricular activities.
We like children to do a minimum of two days per week as this helps with the settling process but we will look at each case individually and accommodate the needs of the child and family where we can.
We do not currently offer term time only places. You are able to request this if its something you require and we will look at this on an individual basis but there are no guarantees we can accommodate this.
All bank holidays are still chargeable.
Invoicing:
Nursery fees are payable on the last working day of the month for the following month. There will be no extra charges other than late fees which will be added to the child’s account by management and the parent will be informed of this at collection. Invoices are sent out mid month to allow parents to check these and make sure they are correct and no changes need to be made before payment is due.
Late payment fees are currently £20 for every 15 mins that you are late.
Invoices will show the monthly cost and indicate how many hours that week have been claimed for free. The funding hours will be shown as £0 on your invoice.
It is important to remember that if a week goes in to two separate months some of your funded hours may be used in each month depending on how the hours and the weeks fall. If there is any confusion over this please speak to a manager and we will be happy to explain or send you a break down.
Please ensure voucher payments and tax free childcare payments are made in advance of the due date as they can sometimes take a few days to process. We currently have a £20 late fee charge for all fees that are paid after the due date. This will be added to your child’s account and charged the following month.
Four weeks notice is needed if you intend to leave the setting or if you would like to drop a day.
Deposits:
If you are only claiming the 30 hours each week for example 3 days then you will not need to pay a deposit. In all other cases we ask for a £200 holding deposit to secure your space. This is then refunded to you in the first 4 weeks of you attending the setting. Deposits are non refundable if you decide not to start as we will have been holing your place for a number of weeks preventing us from offering that space to another child and family. We do not charge any registration or admin fees.
Christmas Closure:
We close for 5 working days over Christmas and the New Year. This is so that staff get a well deserve break and get to enjoy the festive season with their families. We are allowed to close for 5 working days throughout the year for training purposes but as the staff complete their training at weekends and evenings we use this time during the Christmas closure. The Christmas closure is still chargeable.

If a child attends 1 day a week with 15 hours funding the weekly cost would be £7.27 and 5 hours banked.
If a child attends 2 days a week with 15 hours funding the weekly cost would be £50.89
If a child attends 3 days a week with 15 hours funding the weekly cost would be £130.86
If a child attends 4 days a week with 15 hours funding the weekly cost would be £210.83
If a child attends 5 days a week with 15 hours funding the weekly cost would be £290.80
(These costs cover the hour between 7am -8am and any additional hours over the 15 hours).
If a child attends 1 day per week with 30 hours funding the weekly cost will be £7.27 with 20 hours banked
If a child attends 2 days per week with 30 hours funding the weekly cost will be £14.54 with 10 hours banked
If a child attends for 3 days and is claiming 30 hours funding the weekly cost will be £21.81
If a child attends 4 days and is claiming 30 hours funding the weekly cost will be £101.78
If a child attends 5 days a week with the 30 hours funding the weekly cost would be £181.75
(These costs cover the first hour of opening from 7am -8am and any additional hours over 30 hours)
If a child attends 1 day per week with no funding the weekly cost would be £80
If a child attends 2 days a week with no funding the weekly cost would be £160
If a child attends 3 days a week with no funding the weekly cost would be £240
If a child attends 4 days a week with no funding the weekly cost would be £320
If a child attends 5 days a week with no funding the weekly cost would be £400
